'Bagyong Crising' (Storm 'Crising') Update: Tropical Depression Threatens Mindanao

'Bagyong Crising,' a rare February storm, has moved closer to Mindanao and is threatening Davao Del Sur. According to the latest weather bulletin from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), 'Bagyong Crising' is moving closer to the southern tip of Davao del Sur.

The storm is packing maximum winds of 45 kph near the center and moving in the general direction of Palawan.

Storm signal No. 1 has been hoisted over Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Samal Island, Davao Oriental, Compostela Valley, southern part of Surigao del Sur, Agusan del Sur, Bukidnon, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, North Cotabato, Maguindanao, Sultan Kudarat, South Cotabato, Sarangani, Misamis Occidental, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, and Zamboanga Sibugay.

Meanwhile, several flights to the southern Philippines have been cancelled due to the bad weather. One of these flights was supposed to take President Noynoy Aquino (PNoy) to Dumaguete to inaugurate the second site of BPO company Qualfon. Adobo Talk PH via PAGASA
