The feud among the Barrettos is a family issue and should be settled privately by the family. This according to Gretchen Barretto on 'The Buzz' this earlier today.
Gretchen was again a guest co-host on 'The Buzz' pitching in for Charlene Gonzales who is busy campaigning for husband Aga Muhlach in Bicol. But she did not take this opportunity to answer accusations hurled against her by her mother, Inday Barretto, and sister, Gia Barretto-Reyes, in letters published earlier by Ricky Lo in Funfare.
Instead, Gretchen kept mum on the details of the controversy though she talked briefly about what she is going through.
“It took so long for me to learn so many things.”
“I learned this week that a tight embrace means the world to me. I learned na marami rin palang nagmamahal sa akin. I also learned that life was not perfect and I can’t have everything."
“Boy, ayokong magsalita.”
“Dominique, my daughter, knows my story. Many years from now, lilingunin niya ‘tong nangyari sa akin. Maaalala ni Dominique na 'My Mom never fought.' And that’s important to me, Boy. Yun ang importante.”
“That’s what I want to leave behind.”
Gretchen cried through all these. The pain that she is going through is obvious. The pain inflicted by the letters of Inday Barretto and Gia. They were not ordinary letters. They contained no ordinary startements. The letters, in this writer’s opinion, were meant to hurt. The words were carefully selected for this purpose.
It has been quiet for the last couple of days since Inday Barretto’s ‘last word’ on the issue. No reply from jay Jay. No follow-up from Gia. Gretchen has said she will not talk. So, is this the end of the conmtroversy? If not, who will cast the next stone? Adobo Talk PH
