Will Miss World 2013 be Cancelled After Indonesian Muslims Protest?

Will the 2013 Miss World push through in Indonesia? The 2013 pageant is slated to held in Indonesia in September but Muslim hardliners have vowed to stop it.
More than 130 beauty title holders from around the world are to compete in the 2013 Miss World. The final will be held in Bogor just outside Jakarta while other competitions are scheduled in Bali including the 'beach fashion' competition.
In a concession to local traditions and belief, Miss World 2013 has already cancelled the swimsuit competition. Bikinis will no longer be worn in the beach fashion parade. Instead, the Miss World contestant will be wearing traditional sarongs. This was the agreement between Miss World and local organizers when the pageant was still being planned.
But Indonesian Muslim hardliners are not satisfied with just the cancellation of the swimsuit competition. They want the whole pageant cancelled and have vowed to stop it at all costs.
Hizb ut-Tahrir Indonesia, one of the proponents of the protests, said the pageant is 'like selling women's bodies.' Even if no bikinis will be worn, the Islamic hardliners say the contestants will still 'wear outfits that will encourage sex and immoral acts.'
Opposition to the Miss World seems to be growing as the pageant nears with more protests and demonstrations being organized against it.
Such protests have been successful in stopping other events it deemed against Muslim traditions. Last year, hardliners were successful in stopping the concert of Lady Gaga in Indonesia after threats that they would burn down the venue.
The Miss World organizers have only themselves to blame for this problem. With 90% of Indonesia's population Muslim, they should have seen this coming.
The question now is, will the organizers risk the lives of more than 130 contestants for the contest?
