The slapping incident and ensuing scandal caused by a reportedly drunk Anne Curtis at the Prive Luxury Club in Bonifacio Global City is now out in the open. What was previously confined to SMS and private messages between those present at the club, their friends and friends of their friends has now been revealed thanks to an article by Pep.ph.
The slapping scandal happened last November 22 when a reportedly drunk Anne Curtis suddenly slapped three people in the club, one of which was John Lloyd Crus himself. The two other were also with JLC - JR Isaac, editor and publisher of Circuit Magazine, and Leah de Guzman. Also included in the group was Phoemela Baranda. Though she was not slapped by Anne Curtis, Phoem was the recipient of the latter's arrogant behavior which left all of the witnesses to the incident shocked and stunned.
According to JR Isaac, Anne as with a group occupying a private area of Prive while they, along with other club patrons, were in the open area. The two groups shared the club's restroom facilities.
Out of the blue, they heard someone shout, 'Who's banging my door?' Seconds later, Anne Curtis came out of the restroom in rage and slapped Leah de Guzman, JR and John Lloyd Cruz! They were stunned, everyone who saw the incident were shocked. But that was not the end of it.
After slapping John Lloyd, she shouted at him, 'You're and addict!' Anne then turned to Phoemela Baranda and asked her, 'You, what are you doing here?'"
Then, pointing a finger at Phoem, she screamed, 'I can buy you, your friends, and this club!'
A commotion ensued and bouncers had to step in to separate the two groups although it was only Anne Curtis who was causing all the trouble. She was soon ushered out.
Issac relates that everything happened so fast and people were so shocked by the series of incidents that nobody had time to react.
The next day, Isaac received the following message from Anne on his mobile: "JR! It's Anne. Got your number from Monique! Tried messaging you on Facebook this morning. Just want to apologize for my behavior! I'm so so so sorry. I'm so ashamed Frown would never act like that in the right state of mind! I'm so sorry. Please forgive me!"
Issac accepted her apology. No word on the reactions of Leah de Guzman, JLC and Phoemela Baranda.
